I'm sick and tired of my tablet.
Or maybe it's not tablet.
It's the driver?
I don't know.
It can't stay plugged in for an hour, not even for 45 minutes, or the laptop randomly kicks it out.
There's nothing wrong with the tablet. It stays connected for hours on my windows xp computer.
My computer mouse remains connected in for hours in my laptop.
So I narrowed the problem down to drivers. I first went with a 3rd party driver for the drawing tablet.
Worked like a charm until 3 months ago, then it spiralled downwards.
From disconnect after 3 hours to disconnect after less than an hour.
I called the customer service of where I bought both the drawing tablet and laptop. Drawing tablet warranty has expired.
"Download the official drivers."
"'kay, I will. Look, I can buy a new tablet but it's a waste of money if the problem still exists. Is it perhaps that the newest updates from Windows 7 isn't fully compatible with this 3rd party driver.".
... think harder, mannnn...!
"Or your tablet is too old."
It's 6 years old. Works fine on friend's laptop and doubt that it will fail to work on my mom's windows 7 computer.
I downloaded the official drivers. The problem still exists.
Last choice is to update my USB-port drivers, otherwise I probably have to buy a new tablet.
If anybody had the same problem and solved it, could you please tell me?
A new tablet costs 70-100 euro's. I do not want to needlessly spend money.
P.S. I temporarily fix the issue by restarting the laptop. But to restart it every hour is insane.
P.P.S. My laptop has a history of repairs. Harddisk drive crashing, daily blue screen of death and crashing again and then doing nothing when firing the back-up. Hasn't happened since I picked my laptop up from repairs in december. Plz don't say: "Your laptop's broken, bring it back.".
